In a conversation and email from Paul Kim, since our last posting on this site, it is apparent that he remains very interested in purchasing Eaglecrest.
He has acknowledged that there have been many emails and faxes since the meeting and has responded favourably to suggestions of a special senior category and non-golfer support of the club.
Although he has kept in contact, he has been away since the information meeting on Jan 4th but returns on Jan 20th. and advises that he will need some time to work out the financial details.
He has committed to further meetings on some of the membership issues once he has a solid deal with the Operating Engineers.
A further positive development is that the course is still being maintained. Chemicals were observed being applied to the greens on Friday Jan 19th

I, for one,am not surpised that only 125 past members have agreed to renew their memberships. After all,my wife and I recently got burned for $3600.00 on our past membership after only being members for 2 and 1/2 years. If the Kim's are really concerned about past members maybe they could consider an equity membership which would allow full ownership allowing transfer or resale after 5 years, this would give them the opportunity to build their membership base and possibly take the bad taste out of our mouths left by the inconsiderate Operating Engineers Union.
